This album marked a major step in my hobby of composing and recording synthesizer music as it was produced on a one off CD back in 1991 when this media had just become available to the public. This was the first time that I used the working project title of LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN. If there is sufficient interest in this album I could have it added to my peoplesound.com web site. The artwork for the album was drawn by yours truly and depicts the leaders involved in the 1991 Gulf War and the pawns are the RAF Aircrew. TIME FOR CHANGE - Dedicated to RAF aircrew killed in the Gulf War. Appears on the Journey So Far CD.
THE HERMIT - n. person living in solitude. This track was inspired by Enya and the lyrics were written by my wife Jill.
LUCIFER - This is a cover originally produced by the Alan Parsons Project. This would not be available on a CD sold via peoplesound.com for copyright reasons.
MUSIC OF THE SPHERES - n.order, quietude, harmony. Inspired by Vangelis.
WINGS OF WAR - Dedicated to Squadron Leader Gary Lennox who was killed flying a Tornado GR1 whilst on operations in the Gulf War.
LIFE - Lyrics by yours truly and sung by Jill.
GOODNIGHT - When our first son was in his early years life began when he went to bed as any parent will understand.
All tracks are instrumental except - The Hermit and Life.
During the mixing of the album I was assisted by Tony Wride who was to later do some part time engineering for the group "808 STATE".
